Official Rules

SPONSOR
This promotion (the "Contest") is sponsored by The Zondervan Corporation, 5300 Patterson Avenue S.E., Grand Rapids, Michigan 45930 (the “Sponsor”).

ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
To enter, go to www.faithgirlz.com/ (the “Site”), complete the submission form and submit your recipe.   Recipes will be accepted for five different categories: (i) drinks, (ii) desserts, (iii) snacks for club munchies, (iv) Entrees, and (v) Holiday treats and special occasions. You will be asked to provide your name, date of birth, legal guardian or parent’s e-mail address and telephone number. There is no limit on how many recipes can be entered per entrant.

The Contest is open to legal residents of the United States 15 years of age and younger, excluding employees and immediate family members of the Sponsor, and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, assigns, advertising, promotional and fulfillment agents, attorneys, and other representatives and the persons with whom each of the above are domiciled. Offer void outside the United States and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

ENTRY PERIOD
The Contest will commence on June 15, 2009 (9:00 A.M. EST). All entries must be received by July 31, 2009 (5:00 P.M. EST).

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS
All entries within a category submitted in accordance with these Official Rules will be judged by two editors selected by the Sponsor based on the following criteria: creativity (20%), taste (20%), convenience (30%), and presentation (30%). Based on these criteria, the Judges will select at least one winner from each category, provided an entry was submitted to the category.

The parent or legal guardian of all potential winners will be notified by e-mail or telephone and requested to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility. If such parent or legal guardian fails to return the executed Affidavit of Eligibility within 5 days of notification, an alternate potential winner will be chosen.

PRIZES
Each of the winners will receive one copy of The Faithgirlz Cookbook (the “Book”) upon publication scheduled for May 2010. In addition, Sponsor reserves the right to include any of the winning recipes in the Book but has no obligation to do so.

Approximate Retail Value of the Book is $14.99. Approximate retail value of all prizes depends upon how many winners are chosen

Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a cash payment or other prize of equal value for the prizes. At least one prize will be awarded in each category provided there is at least one entry in that category. Only one prize will be awarded per individual, family, or household. All prizes are non-transferable and cannot be sold or redeemed for cash.

CONDITIONS
By entering this Contest, entrants signify their acceptance of the Official Rules and decisions of the judges, which will be final in all respects; and to waive any claim to ambiguity of the Official Rules. Entrants further agree to grant to Sponsor a royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to publish the recipe in all editions of the Book, in any and all media and to use and publicly display their first names, age, and address (limited to city and state) in any and all media and for publicity purposes without further compensation in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including without limitation the Internet, except where prohibited by law.

Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, publish one or more the winners’ recipes in the Book and related promotional materials; however, Sponsor is under no obligation to do so.

The entrants release, discharge, and hold harmless Sponsor and its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, assigns, attorneys, representatives and agents, including advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, from any and all liability or damages arising from the use of any prize awarded and the administration of the Contest, including, without limitation, the following: (i) late, lost, incomplete, delayed, misdirected or unintelligible entries, (ii) any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any materials associated with the Contest, and (iii) any damage to the entrant's computer, related equipment, data files, and software resulting from entrant's downloading of information regarding the Contest or participation in the Contest.

Sponsor may only use the personally identifiable information obtained from the entrants in accordance with its privacy policy, which may be found at www.zondervan.com.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug, computer problem or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security or proper operation of the Contest. Sponsor may prohibit you from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that you are attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking or employing other unfair practices or by abusing other entrants or the representatives of Sponsor.

ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND, IN SUCH EVENT, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PURSUE ITS REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING COSTS AND ATTORNEY'S FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.

THE ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND UPON THE NATURE, QUALITY AND NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES.

Any dispute arising from the Contest will be determined according to the laws of the State of New York, without reference to its conflict of laws principles, and the entrants consent to the personal jurisdiction of the State and Federal Courts located in the State and County of New York over them and agree that such courts have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes.
