Either way, you know what Sophie and the Flakes are all about and now it’s your chance to use your knowledge to go way, way behind the scenes and put yourself in author Nancy Rue’s shoes!

Imagine that you are Nancy Rue and are trying to come up with a storyline for Sophie’s World, book 13. What would the title be? How about the setting? What would you like to see happen? Would you pick an event from an existing book or come up with something totally new?

Book Ideas

Idea #1

Sophie is entering the eighth grade and she is in her into daydreams as much as ever. She is Aubrey Arabella, she is a beautiful slave girl back in the mideval times. And soon falls in love with her master. Maggie insists that Jimmy be the master, and Sophie finds herself falling in love with him in reality. But she doesn't know what to do because he likes her too. Soon Sophie is confused because Jimmy asks her to a party and her parents tell her she can't go. But Sophie wants some freedom and sneaks out. She was having fun until the party got out of hand, and the cops came. Sophie realizes in the end that her parents may be sensible after all.

Idea #2

Wren was just a normal girl, until she learned that her dad was getting transferred- to England. Wren starts freaking out because she doesn't want to move away from her friends, family or her house. When they move to England, she finds out about a place where she can go ride her horse, Windsong. It's called Starlight Stables. The first day Wren goes to the stables, the two mean girls, Sara and Karrie, say mean things about her. The only people that are nice to her are, Mrs Thompson, who owns the stables. And, two teenagers Wren's age, Stacy Peterson, another rider, and Scott Jones, a stable hand. Sara and Karrie still make fun of Wren, but Stacy and Scott come to her rescue. Suddenly, mysterious things start to happen at Starlight Stables. Some riders say they hear weird sounds at night, horses go missing, and Wren learns that Scott never has never rode a horse all the time he's worked at the stables. Wren has to go undercover and solve the mystery before Starlight Stables is forced to close.

Idea #3

I've been scribbling up a few ideas about a new book(or series)about Hope (Sophie's down-syndrome little sister): After just moving, Hope finds herself thinking that because she has "problems" no one will accept her but she makes fast friends with a popular girl that really just wants her as her team "mascot". Finding out the hard way that Hannah, the girl in class that had warned her about the populars, was telling the truth Hope feels terrible and, with a sleepover and a nice letter, says "sorry" her own way. Things end up for the better and Hope finds herself looking forward tot he new schoolyear with the hopes that she'll make (or find) new friends!!!

Idea #4

Sophie and Christian are best friends they have known each other for about five years. And then one day they went to a amusment park and of course sophie had to where her faithgirlz t-shirt that she loves and then so when sophie and christian got hungry they got some fried dough and the girl that was selling them was whereing a faithgirlz t-shirt to so then sophie screamed out " you are in the faithgirlz club?" then the girl behind the counter said of course i am its the best thing in the world. So for the whole rest of the day her and the girl behind the counter hung out all day with each other and left poor old Christian alone to go on all the rides by himslef so eventully he left and took the bus with out Sophie. Then when it was the time that sophie wanted to leave she was alone and could not get home because Christian had the passes so she had to call her mom to get out of the place she was so mad because she could see what she did and she knows it is so wrong and when she gets home she will call him and apoligize. She felt so terrible. THen she said to her self i bet that is how Christian is feeling right now too.

Sophie takes a vacation just with her mom and friends. They go to this historic site and when Sophie's mom lets her and her friends stay alone somewhere, Sophie learns a new adventure everyday!

Sophie makes friends with a new girl in town. Her name is Christina Edison. She is not a Christian yet and does not know anybody in the whole school. The Faithgirlz try to get her into being a Christian but she doesn`t want to be one. Will the Faithgirlz get her into being a Christian? Find out next time in Sophie and the New Girl

Idea #7

Sophie is going into eighth grade. The Flakes find out that willoughby is moving and the Flakes have to go through eighth grade with out her. Julia Trys to befriend Sophie (having her frisnds ditch her for being rotten)Sophie rejects her. Later that week Julia gets in a car crash and is really hurt. Sophie and the Corn Flakes are being nice to Julia. Sophie starts hanging out at Julias house since she still can't go to school. Fiona thinks again that Sophie has a new best friend. She thinks that after Julia gets better she'll be mean again. Fiona gets so mad that she tells a rude rumor about Sophie at school. people start wispering and calling Sophie names behind her back. She stands tall and seeks God for courage to stand it. In the end Fiona understands again that She'll ALWAYS be Sophie's best friend. Fiona also finds out that there is a good side in Julia after all. The Corn Flakes are missing Willoughby. But they find out that She's coming home in six months. The Flakes are excited. And Sophie thinks nothing could possibly go wrong. Until they get word that Willoughby isn't coming home. They all make the best of it and put they're trust in God.

The book starts out with the Corn Flakes having a special day at a local pool. They have total fun, until the Corn Pops show up, decked out in bikinis. Fiona suggests that the Flakes go up to get some pop and fries, but Maggie says, "I'll guard our stuff. Willoughby, could you get me a Coke?" When the Flakes come down, Maggie is chatting with Julia. Suddenly, Maggie sees the Flakes and says, "Um, I gotta go get a hotdog. I'm really hungry," and RUNS up to get one. Julia just smirks. The book is about Maggie trying to become a Pop without the Flakes knowing. The Flakes DO find out, thanks to Kitty's sister Kendra who was best friends with Julia's older sister Alyssa. The Flakes get hurt, and so does Maggie. But, of course, the all make up in the end because that's what true friends do.

Sophie is moving to her nana's and is going to WoodCreek middle school and 4 mean girls are teasing her and the lead mean bee Tara is on Sophie's swim team and is insulted by her on the internet and 2 of the mean girls Sonali and Gwen become her friends and on the swim team championship and Sophie's swim team the tigers win and Tara becomes her friend!!!!!!!!!!!
